Calling ALL Art Students Mural Contest
Ridge Meadows Child Development Centre is holding a Mural Contest.  

We are looking for a student or a group of students to paint a mural on our inside entrance wall
(approx. size 10’ x 9’).
Open to Grade 11 & 12 Students within Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows
Entry Deadline: May 12, 2016 by 3pm

Who Are We:  RMCDC is a nonprofit agency that provides early intervention services to children 0 – 5 years in the areas of Speech & Language, Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy.  We also provide Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy to children enrolled in a public school in the district of Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows.  In addition to these services, we provide family support to families with children living with ADHD and FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder).

Theme:  Outdoors with kids of all abilities in the community

Timeline:
May 12 – Submissions due by 3pm
May 16 – Submissions displayed on site, website, and social media sites – staff and families will vote
May 24 – Winning entry announced
June 30 – Mural to be completed by

Prize Awarded:  Per student in winning group: $100 TD Visa Gift Card, $50 Subway Gift Card, $50 Boston Pizza Gift Certificate plus Social Media/Website Recognition

Eligibility
Open to Grade 11 & 12 students in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows School District.  Groups may not exceed three students.  Applicants may submit multiple designs.

Items to Submit:
–   Names, contact info, school, and grade.
–   Description of mural and materials list
–   Sketches of your proposal on an 11 x 17 sheet of paper
–   Examples of artistic experience

Proposals will be juried based on:
–   Sketch, concept description, and creative vision
–   Feasibility of project completion
–   Quality of prior work
